Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies was recently named to the list 2021 Best Places to Work in Maine. The statewide survey and awards program are designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Maine, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce, and businesses.
The FlowCam, a flow imaging microscope designed and manufactured in Scarborough, is an essential lab instrument for the life sciences industries. It supports biopharmaceutical customers in the development of new and safer drugs, helps to improve the quality of drinking water, and supports researchers in their understanding of marine and freshwater systems.
“It’s an honor to be named once again to this prestigious list. Our customers are doing good work with the FlowCam, and our team works hard to support their contributions to a better, safer planet”, says Ross Bryant, President & CEO Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies.
Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Maine. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience.
The 2021 Best Places to Work in Maine list is made up of companies in three size categories: small (15-49 U.S. employees), medium (50-249 U.S. employees) and large (250+ U.S. employees). Maine has 147,240 small business, according to Maine.biz. Winners will be recognized in the October 18th edition of Mainebiz where the rankings will be revealed for the first time, following a planned awards event.
